This organisation was recognised for its service to the community and was recently awarded the Mayor's Audentior Awards. Over the years we observed that the sections of the Muslim Women continued to suffer serious disadvantage and difficulties so we started the Watford Muslim Women's Org. We meet at the Multi-Cultural Community Centre and hold regular meetings to exchange views and collectively help to fight for eradication of any form of discrimination. We encourage Muslim women to benefit from networking with local sister organisations to play a more positive role in the community. Contact Mrs Abida Ahmed on 01923 441335 for more information.

The older generation has a lot to offer the community, and the time to do it. We are an independent group speaking up for the elderly and the frail by attending the meetings held by the various community services, lobbying our officials, inviting them to our monthly meetings as speakers, and not by standing in the cold waving banners. We are a force to be reckoned with, and have the experience of life behind us. We are not after a quick fix we just want a proper job done the first time. We are strictly independent non-political and membership is free. Our web site www.watfordscf.co.uk
